Do I need my own AI account?

Yes, or an open model. Sign in with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and Universe runs on that plan; open-source models cost nothing to run.

What happens when my model plan runs out?

That is between you and Anthropic or OpenAI, and their limit is real. Universe adds none of its own, and has nothing to sell you when you reach theirs.

Is there a free tier?

Yes, and it is the whole app rather than a sample of it — the browser, schedules and your other Macs are all on Free, permanently, with no countdown. What a plan decides is size: up to 2 sessions and 1 shared space on Free, unlimited sessions and 2 shared spaces on Pro, and no ceilings on Max. You bring your own Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini account on every plan, so the model bill stays yours and we never resell tokens.

How does the team price work?

$49 per member, a month. Everybody shares one library of agents, skills and artifacts, and one place removes somebody from all of it.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from the app. Everything it has already made stays where it is — those are files on your computer, not entries in an account you are locked out of.

Where does my work live?

On your Mac, in the folders you give it: files are files in a folder you can open. What syncs to Universe’s cloud is what sharing and your other Macs need.
